Ed Choklek

Ed Choklek is the Vice President of Outreach Programs for the Nevada Green Institute. In this role, he engages with businesses, educational institutions, local governments, and non-profit organizations to form collaborations/partnerships focused on all aspects of sustainability. Prior to joining the Nevada Green Institute, he served as the Executive Director of the Construction Forum Education Foundation in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Choklek worked as a Business Development professional in the architecture/engineering industry. He also worked at Illinois Power in a variety of engineering and supervisory positions.

Ed graduated from the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering focused on utilities and energy. Mr. Choklek is a member of the US Green Building Council, and he has spoken at several conferences on energy management/procurement best practices, building and campus sustainability issues, and job opportunities in the Green Economy. His interests also include: Youth STEM Outreach, National Parks, and Social Philanthropy.
